Act 160 P 12/15/1971, E immediately. The Outdoor Advertising Control
Act required permits from the Department of Transportation for signs
and billboards. Section 7 states: "An annual permit shall be required
for each outdoor advertising device...A tag indicating that a permit
has been duly issued shall be affixed to the device or structure by
the department." May have begun 1972.
